LONDON: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahirul Qadri has said that his party is not in favour of a lockdown – but a ‘knockdown’.
He said – while talking to media persons at London’s Heathrow Airport on Thursday – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan talked to him and apologised.
“To lockdown Islamabad is PTI’s decision. We do not support every point of Imran. However, we are in favour to knock out the corrupt,” he said.
Qadri said the leaders are creators of corruption and don’t have a right to remain in power and added that there is surely a connection between Nawaz government and neighbouring India.
“I am amazed that there’s always a tragedy whenever the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government is under pressure,” he said and added that the PAT workers were never involved in the attack on PTV – The people of PML-N themselves attacked it – he maintained.
