RAWALPINDI: A massive embezzlement in benevolent funds of railway employees in Rawalpindi division has surfaced.
The Railway headquarters has formed a two-member committee under Deputy CPO Lahore to probe the scam, sources in the railway said. It has been surfaced Railway Rawalpindi Benevolent Fund branch employees got benevolent fund cheques from widows of the deceased railway employees but the cheques were never encashed.
A two-member inquiry committee under the supervision of Deputy CPO Lahore and DPO Rawalpindi will probe the matter.
